On November 9, the Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption announced that it had arrested three suspects for violating the "Elections (Corrupt and Illegal Conduct) Ordinance."

The three arrested suspects are 2 men and 1 woman, aged between 29 and 65 years old. They are suspected of reprinting articles on the Internet calling on citizens to cast blank votes in the general election of the Legislative Council.

The police confiscated several mobile phones during the arrest.

At present, all the arrested suspects have been released on bail pending further investigation.

The Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption said that after completing the investigation of the case, it will submit the results of the investigation to the Department of Justice for legal advice and decide whether to prosecute.

The investigation is still ongoing, and further enforcement actions cannot be ruled out.
