Saudi Arabia mourns the musician Ghazi Ali, professor of adults and friend of Al-Sunbati

The Saudi artistic community mourned one of the pioneers of composing in the Kingdom, musician Ghazi Ali, who passed away this morning, Tuesday.

Al Arabiya.net quoted art critic Mohamed Salama as saying that "the composer Ghazi Ali has been practicing composing for half a century, and for 50 years he has transformed his home into an integrated music institute."

He added: "Many Saudi artists graduated from his hands, and learned from him the arts of singing and playing the oud, including Talal Salama, Ali Abdel Karim, Abbas Ibrahim and others."

It is noteworthy that the musician Ghazi Ali studied at the Conservatoire in Cairo, where he graduated in 1967, and had a close relationship with the musician Riad Al-Sunbati.

Ghazi worked as a music teacher at the Society for Culture and Arts for 3 years (1976-1979). He also presented a number of works, such as: “Rawabi Quba”, “Ru` al-Madina” and “Shrinka from Zamzam”, and one of his most famous songs is “Asmar Helweh”. and “Peace be upon God, Ya Hajarna.” In recent years, he opened a classroom in his home to teach music enthusiasts and lovers the basics.

Ghazi Ali was born in 1938, and studied music in Egypt during the 1960s and then in Britain, and presented patriotic and emotional songs.
