Videos circulated by social media platforms, in Kuwait, of a man hunting pigeons from one of the public squares, sparked a wide debate on social media platforms, especially after it was said that the man hunted these birds to sell them to restaurants serving pigeon meat between their meals.
The Kuwaiti electronic newspaper Al-Majlis published a video clip showing the man catching street pigeons using fishing nets, and the newspaper indicated that this man "sells pigeons later to restaurants."
