Three people, including an employee of a sales company in Tokyo of the automobile manufacturer "SUBARU", did not properly dispose of equipment using "alternative CFCs", which has been pointed out to have an impact on global warming due to the dismantling work of the dealer. As a result, documents were sent on suspicion of violating the CFC Emission Control Law.

The documents were sent to three people, including the 53-year-old facility management manager of the automobile sales company "Tokyo Subaru" in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, and the 40-year-old president of the dismantling company "Koken Sogyo" in Hachioji City.

According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, the Freon Emission Control Law said that the dismantling work of a car dealership in Hachioji City from February to March did not properly dispose of commercial air conditioners using "alternative Freon". There is a suspicion of violation.

"Alternative CFCs" are used as refrigerants for air conditioners and refrigerators, but because they have a greenhouse effect that is up to 10,000 times that of carbon dioxide, owners of commercial equipment collect them by specialized vendors when disposing of them. It is required by law to have them do it.

However, this time, such a procedure was not taken, and at the site of the demolition work, the air conditioner was destroyed by heavy machinery and "alternative CFCs" were released into the atmosphere.

Since it was found on the patrol of the Metropolitan Police Department, it means that all of them have admitted the suspicion to any questioning.

Since there have been a number of cases in the past where "alternative CFCs" have not been properly disposed of, penalties have been strengthened by the revision of the law in April last year, and according to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, it is the first time in Japan that a CFC has been caught after the revision. That is.
