It is a world first which took place at the gates of Marseille.
On Monday, a helicopter from Airbus Helicopters carried out a ten-minute flight in Marignane, in the Bouches-du-Rhône, using only biofuel.
Until now, as Airbus Helicopters reminds us, biofuel was only used in addition to more conventional fuels in helicopter tanks.

This product was obtained in particular from frying oils, and delivered by Total Energies, owner of the controversial La Mède refinery, the first to produce biofuels in France and located a few kilometers from the Airbus Helicopters site.
