  In 2017, Shao Zehao accidentally learned about hematopoietic stem cell donation while performing unpaid blood donation. In October of the same year, he signed up to join the China Bone Marrow Bank and became a volunteer for unpaid donation of hematopoietic stem cells.

"The donation of hematopoietic stem cells is of great significance to patients. I will definitely make every effort to complete the donation." In June of this year, Shao Zehao received a notice of the successful preliminary matching. "This is really a wonderful fate."

  After communicating with his family, Shao Zehao finally cooperated with the Beijing Red Cross to complete the preliminary work such as blood sample review, donation check, and nucleic acid testing from July to August.

On October 8, he began to receive mobilization injections.

Since his family does not live and work in Beijing, Shao Zehao chose to independently complete the 6-day donation.

In the meantime, through the letter forwarded by the staff, Shao Zehao learned that the patient helped this time is the mainstay of the family's income, and this transplantation treatment is of great significance to him and the whole family.

"A small thing for me may be a chance for the patient and family to be reborn," he said.
