Sharjah Publishing City supports 38 publishing houses operating within its facilities

Sharjah Publishing City, the first free zone of its kind in the world, specialized in serving the publishing and printing sector, and other related sectors, supports 38 companies and publishing houses registered with it, and is working to facilitate their participation in the 40th session of the Sharjah International Book Fair.

The support is represented in giving publishing houses priority when registering, facilitating the transfer of books to the exhibition headquarters, and participating in the cultural events it hosts, in addition to the incentive packages and facilities that the city offers to international publishers participating in the exhibition, in order to develop the publishing sector in the region. In addition to its keenness to expand its network of relationships and strategic partnerships with the community of publishing experts. Director of the Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone, Salem Omar Salem, said: “With hosting more than 1,632 publishers from 83 countries, and holding more than 1,000 cultural events, the fortieth session of the Sharjah International Book Fair, which is being held this year on the ground completely, came to enhance Its position as one of the most prominent cultural events that celebrate writers and support publishers in the world.”

He added: “This year, 38 publishing houses are participating in the Sharjah International Book Fair, operating within the facilities of the Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone, where they display their products from the latest publications, in addition to exchanging experiences and communicating with their counterparts from local and international publishing houses, and I invite them to take advantage of this opportunity. Historic books to introduce their titles, expand their readership base of all age groups and cultures, and explore opportunities for cooperation with book industry experts regionally and internationally.
