In her acclaimed debut novel Collected Works, Lydia Sandgren depicts Gothenburg's more academic, literary circles.

-It's a pretty romantic picture, there is a shimmer over my depiction of the city.

My writing process has been while I was studying at university, so that kind of environment and context is quite present in the novel.

Libraries, museums ... places of education in some way, she says.



Actually, Lydia Sandgren associates Gothenburg more with music than literature.

But she believes that Gothenburg can assert itself as a city of literature.
