An investigation was opened in Tarbes, in the Hautes-Pyrénées, after two police officers from the anti-crime squad received a series of malicious calls and texts on their service phones.

According to

The New Republic of the Pyrenees

, a caller first past several fairly unintelligible calls when the two policemen turned on their laptops taking their night service.

Then, the threatening SMS multiplied, advising them not to set foot "in the city".

The correspondent knew the personal addresses of the officials, the make of their personal car and, more worryingly, the first names of their children.

The two police officers lodged a complaint for death threats against persons holding public authority.
