China Weather News reported the strongest cold wave in the second half of this year. This weekend (November 6th to 7th), my country’s cooling range expanded rapidly, and the cold front reached South China. The temperature in many places was like a ski jumping competition in the Winter Olympics. , Jumped down from a high altitude, quickly slid down, savoring the feeling of "winter in a night".

China Weather.com launched the temperature ski jumping competition to see where the cooling rate will "dominate" the country.

The temperature of over 20 provincial capital cities will plummet by more than 10°C

The strongest cold wave process in the second half of this year is affecting our country. This cold wave process has the characteristics of complicated rain and snow, large temperature drop, and strong wind. Among them, the temperature drop is particularly violent. The temperature in most parts of my country will drop by 8-10℃. It can reach 12-14℃ in some areas, and above 16℃ in local areas.

Why is this cold wave cooling so fiercely?

According to Li Liang, a meteorological analyst at China Weather Network, firstly because of the strong cold wave itself, from the 3rd to the 4th, the northern part of Xinjiang has taken the lead in the rapid cooling of 18-24℃, and Urumqi has cooled by over 22℃ in one day.

Secondly, at present, the temperature in nearly half of the places in my country is higher than normal. The northeast and other places are even comparable to those in the first ten days of October of the normal year.

From today to the weekend, the cold wave continues to move eastward and southward, and the cold front will quickly pass over the Taihang Mountains and Qinling Mountains, and then cross the Nanling Mountains to reach South China.

The main cooling period in the central and eastern regions is from the 6th to the 8th. The temperature in many places is like a ski jumping competition in the Winter Olympics.

Over 20 provincial capital cities will have accumulated temperature drops of 10°C or above.

Among them, Shenyang, Changchun, Jinan, and Hohhot can drop by more than 17°C, and Shenyang will reach 19°C, undisputedly becoming the "super master" in this temperature ski jumping competition.

Cities such as Harbin, Taiyuan, Guiyang, and Guangzhou will also "use a rapid drop", with a temperature drop of 14-16°C.

Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan, Nanjing, Xi'an, Yinchuan, Kunming and other places are not far behind, and the temperature will drop by 10-13℃.

The north and south are "quick freezing", and Jiangnan and other places are as cold as December.

The temperature in the north dropped to its lowest around the 7th, and in the south it dropped to its lowest point from the 7th to the 8th.

After the temperature drop, the highest temperature in Northeast China, North Central and North China and other places will only be around 0℃, and in most parts of Huanghuai, Jianghuai, Jiangnan, Southwest and other places it will only be 10-12℃.

On the morning of the 8th, the 0℃ line of the lowest temperature reached the area from central Shandong, central Henan to northern Sichuan.

Among them, the minimum temperature in some areas such as Northwest China and northern North China will drop to about -10°C, and the minimum temperature in most of the central and southern parts of North China, Huanghuai and other places will be below freezing.

In the south, the lowest temperature in the northern part of South China will drop to about 10℃, and the lowest temperature in most areas such as Jiangnan and Southwest China will drop to about 5℃. The coldness is comparable to that in December of the year. Hefei, Wuhan, Guiyang and other places may only have 2- 3℃, the chill is obvious.

Li Liang reminded that the temperature will drop very quickly during the cold wave. The temperature in many places dropped to the recent trough overnight, changing from warm to cold, and appreciate the feeling of "winter overnight". Please add clothes to keep warm in time.

The cooling is also accompanied by rain, snow, and windy weather. There are blizzards to blizzards in parts of Northeast and North China. It is necessary to pay attention to the adverse effects of rain, snow, strong wind, and low temperature on transportation, agriculture and animal husbandry.
