The Queen of Britain spends terrifying nights...and complains of seeing ghosts in her palace

A famous British tourism website said that Britain's Queen Elizabeth II believes that the Royal Windsor Castle is haunted by the ghosts of former kings after she saw the ghost of Queen Elizabeth I, who ruled Britain nearly 500 years ago.

The 95-year-old Queen Elizabeth, aged 95, had a terrifying night at Windsor Castle after she and her sister, Princess Margaret, said they had seen the ghost of Queen Elizabeth I, according to a report by Visit Britain.

According to the report, the Queen's house is believed to be haunted by the ghosts of former royals, as it has been reported nearly 25 times that a ghost has been seen in the walls of Windsor Castle.

The website quoted sources close to the palace as saying that "the Queen and the late Princess Margaret, who was the Queen's only sister, saw Elizabeth's ghost in the library room at Windsor Castle in southeast England."

And a book by royal writer Richard Jones, author of “Haunted Castles in Britain and Ireland”, stated that “one of the castle guards saw the ghost of Queen Elizabeth I in the outer room of the library.”

According to the newspaper, “In addition to these scenes, the ghost of King George II was spotted in another room below the library, where he was placed in a dungeon during his period of insanity.

There are also reports of sightings of King George III at Windsor Castle, with many witnesses claiming to have seen him wandering about in places within the castle.”

The report indicated that "the ghost of King Henry VIII was also seen at the castle walls before disappearing through one of the walls, while there were reports of watching his wife Anne Boleyn, who was beheaded, crying through the castle window."

The site stated that "reports from the royal Hampton Palace spoke of seeing ghosts inside the palace, including the ghost of my wife, King Henry VII."

One of the wives, Jane Seymour, who died after giving birth to a boy in the palace in 1537, is said to have appeared on her son's birthday.

It is also said that Catherine Howard, the fifth wife of Henry VIII, who was accused of adultery and treason, dwelt in the palace, and that after her arrest, she managed to escape and ran across the hall crying out for forgiveness, but was caught again, and executed in the Tower of London.
