Oil purchase shop "looked like a normal young man"

According to investigators, the arrested Hattori was buying a large amount of lighter oil at a store in Ueno, Tokyo, on October 16, about two weeks before the incident.



According to the store clerk, the suspect bought 10 cans of 355 milliliters of oil in bulk and brought them home.



The clerk said, "I remember buying 10 cans of oil at once because it's rare. When I was arrested, I was blonde and flashy, but at that time I had black hair, glasses, dark clothes and a plain look, and it was normal. I looked like a young man. "



The suspect is believed to have put the oil in multiple PET bottles and brought it on the train on the day of the incident.
