A place to bring together the most disadvantaged and offer them the means to eat balanced: welcome to the shared kitchen of the Salvation Army!

Here in Paris, those without access to a kitchen can use many dishes and utensils.

This is the case of Alimatou, who comes to prepare eggplant cakes for her daughter: “My mother wanted to excise my daughter, I refused, so I fled.

I only have one daughter in the world, so I don't regret what I did.

"

In the social hotel where she lives, there is no kitchen and it is forbidden to cook in the rooms.

She and her daughter therefore ate mainly fast food, a diet that was far from balanced.

Here, the association provides her with ingredients such as meat, fish, vegetables… She also learns new recipes: “We learned how to make beef bourguignon.

I like it too much, I also took it for the house.

This place also helps to create social ties, breaking the isolation of people already in difficulty.
