Georgie Dann
has died at the age of 81 in Madrid.
The popular musician has died at the Puerta de Hierro Hospital, where this Wednesday he was going to undergo surgery for a hip operation.
The musician was an icon of the light song during the 70s and 80s, two long decades during which he was the emblem of the

Georges Mayer Dahan was born in Paris on January 14, 1940 into a family of musicians and artists.
For nine years he studied at the Conservatory of his hometown and specialized in the clarinet, although he also played the saxophone and the accordion.
Graduated in Teaching, he was a
teacher
and began to compose humorous songs with his students and, in this way, he began in composition and song until he published his first album.
In 1965 he came to Spain
to participate in the Mediterranean Festival representing his country with the theme "Tout ce que tu sais" and later his first contracts came to him to go to Venezuela, Argentina and Mexico.
After spending two years in Latin America, learning Spanish and touring, he settled in Spain. He was a pioneer in putting together a choreography with dancers every time he went out to sing his songs, with catchy refrains, danceable rhythms and lyrics full of humor and references to summer and partying, a subgenre in which he specialized and from which he did not deviate.
