At the beginning of 2021, the municipality of Pleumeur-Gautier had however seen its budget significantly inflate when it validated the legacy of more than 1.3 million euros made by a local entrepreneur, who died in 2019.

Originally from the town, Raymond Querharo had drawn up a will in which he announced his desire to pay his two life insurance policies to his native village, without inheritance costs.

The only condition: that this money be used for humanitarian purposes for the construction of social housing or aid to "deserving people in need".

Hearing next January

The news had delighted the mayor and his city council.

But a little less the son of the deceased.

According to

Ouest-France

, the latter took the town to court to challenge his father's donation.

The amount of 1.375 million euros represents almost double the investment budget of the municipality.

It is not known for the moment if it is the whole of the sum which is disputed.
