The main collections in our museum are crustaceans from all over the world, so we have some unique species in our collection. For example, crustaceans are like the most poisonous crabs in our world, and for example, we have rare spiders. Crabs, it’s rare to see crabs like we have the so-called six-legged crabs, a species called tower-shaped stone crabs. It has slowly degraded the last pair of legs. The current situation should be This fishing is basically very rare now, and it should be said that it is an endangered crab species.

[Explanation] Liu Zhenghong’s hometown is in Penghu, Taiwan. Three generations of grandparents have spent nearly 30 years collecting more than 1,000 species of crustaceans from all over the world and making them into specimens one by one.

It started in my grandfather’s generation. At first, it was only used as a relatively interesting collection, and did not say that it should develop towards the professional field. It has been the second generation of my father and uncle’s generation. That is to learn how to make specimens seriously, and then how to make these items into permanent exhibits. It slowly comes to my side as the third generation.

Then we went all over the world to collect these crustaceans, and we took our richness to the next level.

[Commentary] Father Liu Ruiqing encouraged Liu Zhenghong to develop in the mainland.

The concept of marine ecological civilization protection is the core and most important original intention of Liu Zhenghong to establish the World Crab Museum.

With the support of his family, he brought the collections of three generations out of the warehouse to meet with everyone.

One of the reasons why I came to Meizhou Island was because of Mazu. In Taiwan, Mazu is also a very important cultural belief. So for this reason, we chose to come to Meizhou Island. The above means that the environment on Meizhou Island is good, or the conditions for entrepreneurship are good. So we chose to land on Meizhou Island.

[Explanation] In recent years, Meizhou Island has actively explored new roads for cross-strait integration and development. In order to attract Taiwanese and Taiwanese companies to come to visit and start businesses, it has introduced a series of policies and measures that benefit Taiwanese.

In Liu Zhenghong's view, he has accumulated a lot of "island cultural tourism experience" in Penghu, and he is confident and confident in developing on the mainland.

He also hopes that through this form of viewing + popular science, the concept of tourism and vacation in Meizhou Island can be integrated, so that more people can understand the diversity of marine life and improve the awareness of marine ecological and environmental protection.
