[Explanation] The 2021 Wuhan Design Day and the 6th Wuhan Design Biennale will open on the morning of November 1 at the Hanyang Iron and Steel Plant Industrial Site (now the "Hanyang Sunac·Wuhan 1890 Project Industrial Site Pilot Demonstration Zone). This exhibition has a total of Attracting more than 160 professional organizations, units and well-known designers from 25 countries, more than 40 cities, and well-known designers from around the world.

The theme of this year's design biennale is "Nature·City". As the main exhibition hall of the event, the former Hanyang Iron Factory Bar Factory Plant is currently the largest single building of an industrial heritage site in Asia.

　　[Explanation] Bridge model representing Wuhan's "Bridge Construction Capital", environmentally friendly shoes made of discarded water bottles and coconut shells, creative posters to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Revolution of 1911, award-winning works of the German Red Dot International Design Award...Compared with previous editions , This year's biennale covers the broadest categories, and showcases outstanding design works from all over the world through physical objects, installation art, interactive art, and images.

We have also introduced the Red Dot Award of the International Industrial Design Awards, as a representative, representing the level of international design.

　　[Explanation] According to Jiang Qun, curator of Wuhan Design Biennale, the main pavilion will renovate the industrial ruins in accordance with the principle of "repair the old as the old", retain the steel structure of the original factory to the greatest extent, and take into account industrial aesthetics and spatial functions. The representative work of Wuhan urban renewal is also the embodiment of the theme of this year's Design Biennale.

It is reported that 27 exhibitions, various activities and 50 forums will be held during the event.

In 2017, Wuhan was selected as the "City of Design" by UNESCO's global creative city network.

Wuhan Design is contributing more and more Chinese standards and Chinese solutions to bridges, high-speed railways, dams, and UHV projects around the world.
