Ms. Lipinski, Ms. Machmer, you are bringing aesthetic sex toys made of porcelain onto the market.

That sounds cold and somehow also painful.

Tara Lipinski

: We hear that a lot! But yes, we have developed two porcelain dildos that are anything but painful. Porcelain is comparable to glass, which has long been a common material for sex toys. It is very slippery, so it doesn't hurt and quickly adapts to the ambient temperature. If the product is the right size, such a solid material is wonderful. Every movement I make is transferred one to one to where I want it to be. In addition, porcelain has a comfortable weight.

Julia Machmer

: Porcelain has its own characteristic aesthetic: It is unobtrusively beautiful and looks very elegant and high quality at the same time.

What is also a big advantage for us as designers: Porcelain is poured like silicone, so we are very free when it comes to shapes and attention to detail.

Can the products break during use?

Lipinski

: No, this cannot happen if used properly.

We use technical porcelain with a thick wall.

The special composition of the components means that porcelain is extremely stable.

You can't use so much force that you can crush it with your hand or the pelvic floor.

You want to start with two products first.

Lipinski

: Number one is “Clara”, who is delicate and curved.

With “Clara” you can stimulate externally at certain points and when you insert it, you can get very close to the G-surface thanks to the arch shape.

The well-formulated handle recess is particularly special, so that “Clara” can be grasped and moved very well.

And then we have “Helen”, which is longer and has a conical shaft and a voluminous ball.

The shape is suitable to strengthen the sensitivity inside the vagina.

Here a small ball forms the handle.

Why did you give the products women's names?

Machmer

: We wanted names that were easy to pronounce and short that create a friendly relationship with the product.

Our goal is to stimulate and facilitate communication with one another.

We have already noticed that it works very well when we distributed our products to friends for testing.

It was very easy for everyone to talk about Helen and Clara.

Before, did you get the impression that talking about this topic is difficult?

Machmer

: Absolutely!

We both found that we ourselves had great problems talking about our own sexuality - our needs, limits, desires and physicality.

We have been friends for many years and at some point we realized how liberating it is to talk about it and, above all, to be able to say what did not go well.

You write on your Instagram account that you want to create a "nice alternative to conventional sex shops".

What was it that bothered you?
