Sultan Al Qasimi inaugurates the exhibition “The Other Side of Silence”

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, inaugurated yesterday morning the art exhibition “The Other Side of Silence” by Harir Sarkissian, in the art buildings of the Sharjah Art Foundation in Al Mareijah area in Sharjah.



The exhibition, which is organized by the Sharjah Art Foundation, in cooperation with the Bonnier Constellation Gallery in Stockholm and the Bonnefanten Museum in Maastricht - the Netherlands, is the first investigative exhibition for artist Harrier Sarkissian, and will run until January 30, 2022. The exhibition includes works on the dates of demise, the architecture of violence and the possibilities of the photographic medium, and is based on two main commissions: a photographic installation entitled “Last Seen” (2018-2021) commissioned by the Sharjah Art Foundation, and “A Small Apple” (2021-2022) commissioned by Bonnefanten.

The exhibition also includes a wide range of the artist's major works since 2006.
