On October 30, the nomination period for the election of the 7th Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region officially began and ended on November 12.

On the first day of the nomination period, the Returning Officers of 10 geographical constituencies, 28 functional constituencies and the Election Committee sector received a total of 15 nomination forms.

  According to the information released by the Registration and Electoral Office of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, on the first day of the nomination period, five nomination forms were received for each of the geographical constituencies, functional constituencies and election committee sectors.

  A reporter from China News Service saw outside the Office of the Returning Officer that a number of nominees from different regions and sectors brought the completed nomination forms to submit in person.

  It is reported that as the first Legislative Council election after the implementation and improvement of the electoral system, the election of the seventh legislative council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will be held on December 19. The committee sector elected 40 members for a total of 90 members.
