On the first day of the nomination period, the Returning Officers of 10 geographical constituencies, 28 functional constituencies and the Election Committee sector received a total of 15 nomination forms.

  According to the information released by the Registration and Electoral Office of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, on the first day of the nomination period, five nomination forms were received for each of the geographical constituencies, functional constituencies and election committee sectors.

The 30th is Saturday, and the time for the Returning Officer to receive the forms is from 9 am to 12 noon.

A reporter from China News Service saw outside the Office of the Returning Officer that a number of nominees from different regions and sectors brought the completed nomination forms to submit in person.

  Relevant laws in Hong Kong have clear requirements for the nominees of geographical constituency elections, functional constituency elections, and election committee constituency elections. If they must be a registered elector of a geographical constituency who must be 21 years of age or older, they must be normally nominated within 3 years before the nomination.   The Electoral Affairs Commission has appointed Returning Officers for 10 geographical constituencies, 28 functional constituencies and the Election Committee sector to handle nomination forms and other election matters.

Nominees must personally deliver the completed nomination form and election deposit to the relevant Returning Officer during the nomination period from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 12 noon.

  As the first Legislative Council election after the implementation and improvement of the electoral system, the election of the 7th Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will be held on December 19th. 20 members will be elected by geographical constituencies, 30 members will be elected by functional constituencies, and the election committee sector will be elected.
