Actress Naglaa Badr defended her dress, which sparked a wide wave of controversy, at the opening of the El Gouna Film Festival, and Najlaa explained, during a media appearance on Radio Nogoum FM, "I still say that the dress is normal, and people thought I was sticking to the pyramidal triangle, but It was made by the designer with the aim that he was the eye of Horus, and she is a student, not an amateur, and it has a fillet that the camera cannot read, and the idea came from the way people see the dress and the woman’s body, and it has dresses in our lives and appears in drama and cinema much more exciting than what I wore.”

Naglaa Badr added: "The dress has spread in all stores and turned into a fashion, but nevertheless, it does not suit all people, and if time comes back, I will wear it again, and I chose the dress because it is sweet and a piece of art, and it is different and the difference raises controversy."
