For the second anniversary of its payment model, EL MUNDO opened the doors of its newsroom on Thursday to a select group of subscribers: 26 people representing the more than 85,000 that already make up the community of this newspaper.

Upon arrival, the subscribers visited the EL MUNDO building and approached the meeting room where the main topics that will make up the printed and digital cover of the following day are agreed upon before receiving a talk from the director of this newspaper and asking their questions. doubts and curiosities about the dynamics of the newspaper.

In his speech, Rosell highlighted his gratitude for feeling "the encouragement" of the readers who came to the headquarters of EL MUNDO to share "their reflections."

"This contributes to making the newspaper as much as the journalists who work here do," he said

.

The director of this newspaper also underlined "the hallmark of investigative journalism" that has always guided EL MUNDO's work in its 32-year history.

A career that Joaquín Manso also made mention of in a journey through the values ​​that have always accompanied this newspaper since its foundation in 1989.

For his part, Vicente Ruiz provided the details on the digital edition as the person in charge of this area, while Jorge Bustos glossed the work of the main opinion-makers with Raúl del Pozo, owner of the back cover of the printed edition since 2007, as the main reference.

The columnists Antonio Lucas and Emilia Landaluce also shelled the areas of Culture and Entertainment of which both are part.

Given the enthusiasm of the readers, the meeting, which was scheduled to last two hours, had to finally be extended due to their interest in continuing the conversation with information professionals.

During their visit, the 26 guests, who arrived at the headquarters on Avenida San Luis at around 11 am, were received with a small welcome cocktail in the building's auditorium.

There the day was developed with the speeches of those present and the questions of those interested.
