The prefecture of the Alpes-Maritimes has issued a decree to "prohibit the sale, use and transport of combustible products, hydrochloric acid" as well as the sale of fuel in cans or "any transportable container", from from this Friday noon until Monday, 6 p.m.

In 2017, around forty overflows were observed in the department, half of which in the arrondissement of Cannes, Grasse and Antibes, during Halloween night.
