The Ingka Holding Group, which operates a chain of stores by the Swedish furniture giant IKEA, intends to offer a total of 110 million euros in bonuses to all its employees in the world as a thank you and appreciation to them during the Corona pandemic period, and in recognition of their “colossal efforts” during a difficult period.

"The pandemic has put us in a situation that none of us were prepared for," said Ulrika Bisert, one of the group's officials. "We went from a mostly physical store service to an online activity within two weeks."

And she added, "The workers cooperating with us are the heroes who redirected our company to serve customers in the best possible way."

Engka employs more than 170,000 people and operates branches in 32 markets around the world.

The bonuses will be distributed to all employees in it “on August 31, who are in their positions until the payment date in January 2022.”

The shares offered vary in different markets.

This bonus is added to the annual bonus granted by the company based on performance levels.
