This Thursday, the Marseille prosecutor's office had made an assessment of a report by the National Agency for the Safety of Medicines (ANSM) on “clinical trials” against tuberculosis which would have been carried out at the IHU outside the legal framework.

"Good medical practices"

In this press release, where the name of the IHU is never mentioned, for the benefit of the public assistance of hospitals in Marseille, nor the name of Didier Raoult, Philippe Brouqui affirms that "no therapeutic trial has been carried out by the infectious disease pole on tuberculosis and [that] no death has been deplored with these treatments prescribed adequately in their situation.

"

According to this press release, “the incriminated drugs all benefit from a marketing authorization for other pathologies and the tuberculosis bacilli of the patients tested in the laboratory were all sensitive to the antibiotics which were used.

This therefore corresponds to good medical practice for the use of antibiotics.

"

And to add: "We are happy that an investigation is launched in order to determine who transmitted and conceals confidential files protected by professional secrecy which should be guaranteed by the Public Assistance.
