厚生労働省によりますと、新型コロナウイルスへの感染が確認された人で、人工呼吸器や集中治療室などで治療を受けるなどしている重症者は、28日時点で177人（-7）となっています。
一方、症状が改善して退院した人などは28日時点で、国内で感染が確認された人が169万4929人、クルーズ船の乗客・乗員が659人の合わせて169万5588人となっています。
また26日に、一日に行われた自主検査を除くPCR検査数などは速報値で3万4815件でした。
