Saudi security moves after the incident of the video "Attack on a girl in Tabuk"
After circulating a video of a person hitting a woman in a public facility, the Saudi authorities were able to arrest the accused without revealing his identity or even the circumstances of the incident, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The circulating video showed a man beating a woman in a public street at night, and a group of young men who tried to catch him to prevent him from continuing his assault.
The media spokesman for the Tabuk police, Colonel Khaled Al-Ghabban, explained that the security follow-up to the crimes of self-assault and the tracking of its perpetrators, resulted in the competent authorities of the region's police being able to determine the identity of the person who appeared in the circulating video.
Al-Ghabban indicated that the culprit was arrested and initial legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred to the Public Prosecution Branch.
