Working in underwear is apparently a booming trend thanks to video conferencing.

This is what emerges from an Ipsos poll published on Wednesday.

The polling institute interviewed a sample of French executives.

They are thus 85% to turn on the camera while teleworking but this gesture is not systematic.

Only 32% of them always leave the camera on.

And when it's turned off, more than a third of attendees aren't necessarily dressed appropriately at work, reports

Clothing and concentration optional

This attitude concerns more than half of those under 40 who do not turn on their cameras.

35% of these executives stay in their pajamas or wear underwear during these virtual work meetings.

5% even admitted that they had already attended a meeting in the simplest device.

Likewise, managers are not always attentive to discussions.

74% of those under 40 admit having chatted by messaging with their colleagues during the meeting.

57% of the over 40s do so.

22% of executives have already taken advantage of a meeting to clean or cook.

Very widely adopted videoconferencing

Video conferencing has become part of professional mores.

94% of executives attended a video conference in the past twelve months, and 71% in the past seven days, adds

.

82% of those under 40 appreciate this mode of communication compared to 70% of those over 40.

Executives like to save time, especially avoiding travel to attend the meeting (95%).

88% of respondents indicate that this mode of participation reduces health risks as the Covid-19 pandemic continues.

Another advantage: videoconferencing makes it possible to reduce the length of meetings for 86% of executives and does not prevent better efficiency for 82% of them.

In addition, this meeting mode allows 64% of executives to be less stressed when they speak.

The study does not say whether being in your underwear helps in these cases.
