China News Agency, Lhasa, October 28 (Reporter Jiang Feibo) At 12:50 on October 27, a forest fire broke out near Kongdang Village, Chayu County, Linzhi City, Tibet.

In the early morning of the 28th, a reporter from China News Agency learned from the Emergency Management Department of the Tibet Autonomous Region that rescuers had excavated the isolation zone. A total of 49 people from 10 households in the Jiada Group of Sangjiu Village, Chayu County, about 1 km away from the fire site, had been moved to a safe area. In emergencies, other personnel can be transferred at any time.

  The fire site was located just north of Kongdang Village, Zhuwagen Town, Chayu County, with an altitude of between 2400 meters and 3,500 meters. The fire site had a slope of about 60 to 70 degrees. The vegetation was mainly fir.

  It is reported that there are 2 villages within 3 kilometers of the fire site, including 10 households with 60 people in Sangjiu Village, 2 kilometers away from the fire site; 119 households with 493 people in Kongdang Village, 3 kilometers away from the fire site.

There is a farmland barrier between the village and the forest.

The fire site was about 18 kilometers away from the town of Zayu County, and the fire situation did not pose much of a threat to the county seat.

  At present, an on-site command center has been established in the local area, with 360 personnel and more than 30 vehicles, divided into two groups to excavate the isolation zone on the site. Two isolation zones with a total length of about 12 kilometers and a width of about 25 meters have been excavated.

More than 220 people from forest fire prevention and firefighting forces in Linzhi City have set off to the fire scene in the afternoon of the 27th.

In addition, 300 people from forest firefighting were prepared for reinforcements. Among them, 110 people from Lhasa had set off on the evening of the 27th, and the remaining 190 people set off early on the 28th.

  From October 28th to 29th, the weather around the fire site was mainly sunny, with no obvious precipitation, and the wind force was level 1 to 2.

The Meteorological Department of Tibet Autonomous Region has made preparations for artificial rainfall.

  The Ministry of Emergency Management of China and the Tibet Autonomous Region officials require strengthening dispatching, consultation, research and judgment, strengthening emergency command, preparing for extreme situations, scientifically deploying forces, and actively organizing rescue operations to ensure the safety of personnel and important facilities.
