More and more families are thinking about having their pet cremated.
In Fay-aux-Loges (Loiret), the turnover of the Crémateck company increases by more than 10% each year.
The company has the only animal crematorium in the department, and even in the Center-Val de Loire region, reports

Demand is high following the gradual change in the status of domestic animals over the past 30 years.
“We have gone from the work or guard animal to the companion animal.
When he dies, his owners need to be listened to, ”commented Gérard Moitron, North Regional Director of Esthima, parent company of Crémateck, holding 80% of the sector's market share.
Several levels of service and prices
The Fay-aux-Loges crematorium notably offers a guest book, a meditation room, a room for the mortuary toilets or a space where the bodies of animals are deposited.
About ten cremations are carried out every day.
The cremations concern dogs and cats, but also new pets (NAC) such as rodents, snakes or turtles.
Their price varies between 50 and 290 euros.
Cremation can be collective or individual and may or may not be accompanied by a funeral service.
The ashes can be sent to a veterinarian or given to the handlers on site.
