Good news for Mulhouse residents: "After a special 2020 edition, without chalets or entertainment, where we still managed to offer a different and creative Christmas atmosphere, the Christmas Market is making a big comeback this year", said. Michèle Lutz, the mayor (LR) of the town, on the town's website.

The event will be held from Wednesday November 24 to Monday December 27.

For the comfort and safety of visitors, the market will be ventilated.

80 chalets will be arranged along extended aisles, reports France Bleu Alsace.

The municipality insisted on "proposing a synthesis between what liked before and what worked well last year".

Result: the focus will be on nature and creativity.

No Ferris wheel this year

470 fir trees and 120 illuminated birch trees will decorate the streets of the city.

Mulhouse residents will also be able to admire 16 Christmas decoration points and 12 flower beds adorned with Christmas-themed dressing spread throughout the city.

The traditional Ferris wheel will not be installed this year.

On the other hand, the little ones will be able to enjoy the Children's Village located in the Square de la Bourse: a magical space designed by local artists.
