White smoke in Boulogne-Billancourt.

For the first time in fourteen years, TF1 will be able to broadcast

extracts from Ligue 1 matches

on its flagship

Telefoot program

, after an agreement with the official broadcaster Amazon, the two groups announced on Friday.

The agreement allows "the diffusion, in the emblematic

Telefoot program

, of extracts of images of Ligue 1 matches as well as archive images" of the current season, indicates a joint press release.

From Sunday morning, a few hours from the Marseille-PSG classico, images of Ligue 1 will therefore return in this weekly magazine, which will be able to offer extracts from the matches of Friday and Saturday, counting for the 11th day of the Championship.

"We are very happy to be able, once again, to offer exceptional exposure to the Championship," said François Pellissier, deputy general manager of TF1.

An absence of images since 2007

TF1 was deprived of the right to broadcast extracts from L1 in

Téléfoot

since the takeover of the “magazine” rights by France Télévisions in 2007. The program focused in particular on the French team, of which TF1 is co-holder of the audiovisual rights, and foreign championships.

Amazon acquired the audiovisual rights to 80% of Ligue 1 matches last June, including the Sunday evening poster (8:45 p.m.), which it broadcasts on its Prime Video platform.

The other meetings are broadcast by the Canal + group.
