“Over the past day, on October 22, in Russia, forest fire forces have liquidated nine forest fires on an area of 765 hectares,” RIA Novosti reports.
It is noted that by midnight Saturday, October 23, 12 forest fires were active in Russia on an area of 761 hectares.
The maximum area of fires was recorded in the Sverdlovsk region, where there are two fires on an area of 85 hectares.
Earlier in Russia, they developed a method for extinguishing forest fires using rocket technologies, having patented a "cannon" for extinguishing.
