The Academy of Cinema Arts and Techniques unveils the news of the next master of ceremonies for the César 2022 ceremony, which will be held on February 25, live from the Olympia.

And it is a regular at the ceremony who will occupy this seat: Antoine de Caunes.

The troublemaker of the TV will host his tenth ceremony.

The winner is… Antoine de Caunes.

The television troublemaker will be the master of ceremonies for the César 2022, as announced by the Academy of Cinema Arts and Techniques.

An appointment that revives the habits of the ceremony, since it is he who most animated this great evening of French cinema.

Antoine de Caunes was already master of ceremonies of the César in 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2013. This will therefore be his tenth edition of the César.

"The last", specifies Antoine de Caunes, "in any case the last standing".

Two new categories

This 47th edition will take place on February 25, live from the Olympia and will, as always, be broadcast in clear and live on Canal +.

Antoine de Caunes will have the heavy burden of raising the audiences, to the lowest last year, after an edition as political as it is criticized.

Caesar 2021 also handicapped by the few films released, because of the Covid-19.

The Academy of Cinema Arts and Techniques had already announced at the end of September two new features for the 2022 edition of the César: the award ceremony for the best visual effects and that for the best documentary short film.

This last Caesar had already been awarded between 1977 and 1991.
