On the afternoon of the 20th, a Korean fishing boat was found overturned in the Sea of Japan about 200 km north of Okinoshima Town, Shimane Prefecture, and four Chinese, three Koreans, and two Indonesians were on board. In total, the whereabouts of all nine people have disappeared.
According to a contact from the Korea Coast Guard, which was conducting a search in the sea area of the site, to the 8th Regional Coast Guard Headquarters, a Korean fishing boat cooperating in the search found two Chinese crew members drifting nearby. It was discovered and rescued by the morning of the day.
In addition, eight divers from the Korea Coast Guard searched the capsized fishing boat from around 7 am on the 21st, and found one in the maneuvering room.
The detailed condition is unknown.
At the time the fishing boat was discovered, the northerly wind was stormy at 16 meters in the sea area.
