The number of foreign tourists who visited Japan last month is estimated to be about 17,000, which is a significant decrease of more than 99% compared to the adult before the spread of the new coronavirus.

According to the Japan National Tourism Organization, an estimated 17,700 foreign tourists visited Japan last month.

This is a 99.2% decrease from the 2.27 million people in the same month before the spread of the new coronavirus, and continues to be at a record low level.

By country or region, China has 4000 people, South Korea has 2200 people, the United States has 1700 people, and Vietnam has 1000 people.

The number of tourists is decreasing because the government has completely restricted the entry of foreigners since January as a measure against the border of the new coronavirus, unless there are "special circumstances".

In the United States and Europe, there are movements to resume the acceptance of tourists for tourism, such as those who have been vaccinated, but in Japan, the prospect of recovery of tourists remains uncertain.
