A male teacher working at an elementary school in Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, was disciplined for six months after being suspended for committing obscene acts on a woman in a park in Aichi Prefecture.

According to the Sagamihara City Board of Education, the disciplinary action was taken by a 22-year-old male teacher who works at an elementary school in the city.

In May, this male teacher called out to a woman in her thirties in Konan City, Aichi Prefecture, and said she had done obscene acts such as touching her body in a nearby park. He was arrested by the police on suspicion and was not charged last month, but he admitted that he had done obscene acts such as "fearing the other party" in an interview with the Sagamihara City Board of Education.

The City Board of Education has disciplined the teacher for six months on the 20th, alleging that it has seriously damaged his credibility as a civil servant.

The teacher said that he retired on the 20th.

Hideyuki Suzuki, the director of the Sagamihara City Board of Education, said, "We apologize to the victims and other citizens. We will give thorough guidance to each school and prevent recurrence so that this will not happen again. We will work on it. "
