In the midst of a series of incidents such as passengers being cut off on the premises of trains and stations, training was conducted on the assumption that a man was swinging a knife in the car and rampaging on the monorail running in the Tama area of Tokyo.

The training on the 20th was conducted jointly by the Higashiyamato Police Department of the Metropolitan Police Department and the Tama Monorail, and about 30 people concerned gathered at the venue, Kamikitadai Station in Higashiyamato City.

The training was conducted on the assumption that a man was injured by swinging a knife in the car using an actual vehicle.

First, the emergency notification device in the car was activated, and two station staff rushed in, calling out to the violent criminal role, "Please stop", and responded by using sasumata, etc., and evacuated the passengers.

After that, a police officer who rushed in after receiving the report used a shield to suppress the criminal role.

In August, 10 passengers were injured in the train on the Odakyu Line in Tokyo, and on the 15th of this month, two men were suddenly stabbed by a man with a knife on the premises of JR Ueno Station. In the event of an injury, the Metropolitan Police Department has decided to work with railway operators to strengthen countermeasures.

Osamu Aoki, Chief of the Higashiyamato Police Station, said, "If you feel any discomfort on the train, please notify the crew immediately or report it to the police."
