Welcome to "Yiqi Liao-Things about the Forbidden City", I am Yilin.

The Forbidden City of Shenyang is divided into three roads: east, middle and west. The east road was built during the Nurhachi period and retains the traditional style of the early Jurchen people. The most unique scenery in palace architecture.

The main architectural forms and combinations of the Forbidden City in Beijing are derived from the traditional palace architecture in the Central Plains.

The Great Palace and the Ten Kings Pavilion not only reflect the political characteristics of the Manchu country at that time, but also have strong national characteristics in terms of architectural layout and style.

The Manchus are fishing and hunting people. They are good at riding and shooting. They live in felt tents that can be dismantled at any time.

According to historical records, the yurt-style tents set up when Nurhachi and Huang Taiji led the Eight Banners troops to go out stationed are the emperor's large "yellow tents" (huang 幄), and the Eight Banners and Baylor ministers arranged in front of them. On both sides of the eight "green tents" (青幄), the layout, tile color and shape of the Great Palace and the Ten Kings Pavilion are very close to it.

From the architectural point of view, except for the roof tiles, the rest of the Great Zhengdian is made of wooden structure. No nails have been used from the inside to the outside. The eight pillars support the entire Great Zhengdian, which also represents the Great Qing Dynasty. It needs to be firmly supported by the Eight Flags.

The Shiwang Pavilion is the place where the left and right wing kings and the eight banner ministers work. This phenomenon of the monarch and the ministers working together in the palace is also rare in history.

This architectural pattern, born out of the "tent hall" layout of ethnic minorities, demonstrates the development of Manchu culture and is regarded as a model of palace architecture with the characteristics of nomadic hunting peoples.
