Local elected officials have been waiting for a while… Within two years, a new interchange should be created on the outskirts of the agglomeration of Orléans (Loiret).

Vinci started this Monday, the site of the future exit of Saran-Gidy, on the A10 motorway, north of the metropolis, reports

Le Parisien

.

“We have been asking for this interchange for so long!

For businesses and residents, this will prevent road traffic from reaching the gates of Saran, ”Maryvonne Hautin, mayor of the city of Saran, told our colleagues.

A relief shared by the mayor of the town of Gidy, Benoît Perdereau.

Work estimated at 35 million euros

“This site will employ 70 workers, and will require two years of work,” explained Thierry Maillé, operational director of project management at Vinci Autoroute.

The cost of the works is estimated at 35 million euros.

This sum will be financed by the metropolis, the department and also by Vinci Autoroutes.

These works on the outskirts of Pole 45 should contribute to the development of this business area.

The latter already hosts the Amazon warehouse, which represents 6,000 jobs, but also many logistics activities.
