Sino-Singapore Jingwei, October 20th. On Tuesday (October 19) Eastern Time, the three major US stock indexes rose collectively. The Dow rose 0.56% to 35,457.44 points; the Nasdaq rose 0.71% to 15,129.09 points; the S&P 500 index rose. 0.74%, reported 4519.67 points.

Most technology stocks rose, with Apple up 1.5% and Facebook up 1.4%.

Chinese concept stocks rebounded, iQiyi rose 12.94%, 36Kr rose 12.5%.

  Most large technology stocks rose, Apple rose 1.51%, Facebook rose 1.39%, Google rose 0.32%, Microsoft rose 0.31%, Netflix rose 0.16%, and Amazon fell 0.08%.

The after-hours financial report showed that Netflix’s third-quarter profit per share was US$3.19, and the market expected it to be US$2.56, compared to US$1.74 in the same period last year. The company’s after-hours share price rose by more than 3%.

  Most of the bank stocks rose, Wells Fargo rose 1.82%, JP Morgan Chase rose 1.13%, Bank of America rose 0.43%, Citigroup rose 0.25%, Morgan Stanley rose 0.29%, and Goldman Sachs fell 0.45%.

  Most energy stocks rose, Chevron rose 1.92%, Exxon Mobil rose 1.52%, Schlumberger rose 1.17%, ConocoPhillips rose 1.06%, and Occidental Petroleum fell 0.03%.

  Many popular Chinese concept stocks rebounded strongly, Yunji rose 15.84%, iQiyi rose 12.94%, 36Kr rose 12.5%, Canaan Technology rose 11.97%, Xunlei rose 11.7%, Tencent Music rose 9.33%, Bilibili rose 7.62%, Alibaba rose 6.18%, Baidu rose 4.65%, Jingdong rose 3.02%, Ideal Auto rose 2.27%, and Weilai Automobile rose 1.05%.

In terms of decline, Xingya Group fell 4.63%, Lanting Group fell 4.22%, Yuchai International fell 4.11%, and Xiaopeng Motors fell 0.14%.

  Most European stocks closed higher. The German DAX index rose 0.27% to 15515.83 points; the French CAC40 index fell 0.05% to 6669.85 points; the British FTSE 100 index rose 0.19% to 7217.53 points; the Italian FTSE MIB index rose 0.38%. Reported 26368.87 points.

  In terms of crude oil, WTI November crude oil futures closed up US$0.52, or 0.63%, to US$82.96 per barrel on the eve of the delivery date.

WTI December crude oil futures closed up 0.92% to US$82.44 per barrel.

Brent December crude oil futures closed up US$0.75, or 0.89%, to US$85.08 per barrel.

  In terms of gold, COMEX December gold futures closed up 0.3%, at 1,770.50 US dollars per ounce.
