Paris on stage at the New Seine.

This is the concept of the Eurovision Junior stage organized in France on December 19.

France Télévisions unveiled on Tuesday a first glimpse of the decor signed Miguel Hernando.

The stage will be 20 meters long by 30 wide.

A structure reminiscent of the Alexandre-III bridge will be attached to each of its sides.

A dome in light, evoking that of the Grand Palais will overhang the whole which will also include a constellation of projectors "We wanted the perfect alchemy between the magic of Christmas and" The City of Light ", the City of Light, this Paris dreaming of Europe, ”explains

375 square meters of screens

The bridge-shaped structure will host the green room, this space where the candidates of the competition reserved for 9-14 year olds will be gathered ... “Children are the stars, we wanted to put them in the rank of stars, whether they are there on the plateau ”, underlines Alexandra Redde-Amiel.

The decor will include 375 square meters of screens, including a 7 m high main screen.

"A proscenium [a proscenium] will consist of a screen on the ground so that the delegations can have fun in the construction of their tables", continues the patron saint of entertainment.

The France Télévisions project is clearly ambitious.

"Eurovision Junior was watched by 32 million viewers last year, we can not not be ambitious," says Alexandra Redde-Amiel, ensuring to be in "the same dynamic, the same desire and the same requirement as if we organized Eurovision [adult] ”.
