Russia presented features of its music and culture to the audience of Expo 2020 Dubai, the day before yesterday, in the first artistic performance organized by its distinguished pavilion at the Dubai Millennium Theatre.
Teams representing different regions of Russia entertained the audience at the “Russia Concert” on the open stage whose stands were filled in clear weather on the eighteenth day of Expo 2020.
Dozens of Russian artists and performers danced in traditional costumes that reflect the different cultures of the republics that make up the Russian Federation, after the ambassador of the Russian pavilion and former Miss Russia, Victoria Lopyreva, announced the launch of a series of cultural and artistic events organized by the distinguished pavilion throughout the six months of Expo 2020 Dubai.
Ekaterina Pribetkova from the International Communication Department of the Russian Pavilion said: “Our pavilion offers one of the richest cultural and commercial programs among the various pavilions at Expo 2020 Dubai.
We want to show how deep and interactive Russian culture is.”
A Russian young woman in a snow-white traditional dress began to dance to the applause of hundreds of attendees, while images of the harsh Russian north snow were reflected on the screen, conveying to the attendees in Dubai a glimpse of a completely different weather scene.
The young performer was followed by dozens of girls and young men who presented a colorful and bright image of Russian traditions from this region in the cold weather.
