Due to the cold air and low pressure in the sky, the atmospheric conditions on the Sea of Japan side of northern and eastern Japan are unstable, and it is expected that a very strong wind will blow mainly over the sea in the evening.

The Japan Meteorological Agency is wary of storms and high waves, and is also calling attention to local heavy thunderstorms, lightning strikes, and gusts.

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the atmospheric conditions are unstable, especially on the Sea of Japan side of northern and eastern Japan, due to the strong cold air in the sky and the warm and moist air flowing toward the low pressure system in the Sea of Japan.

For this reason, rain clouds are developing locally and the wind is getting stronger, and the maximum instantaneous wind speed until 5:30 am was observed at 23.8 meters in Aikawa, Sado City, Niigata Prefecture.

Since a low pressure system passes through northern Japan while developing, it is expected that a very strong wind will blow around the sea in the early afternoon in Hokuriku and Niigata prefecture, and in the evening on the Sea of Japan side of northern Japan. is.

The maximum expected wind speeds are all on the Sea of Japan side, 25 meters in Tohoku and Niigata prefectures, 23 meters in Hokkaido, and 35 meters in maximum instantaneous wind speed, so caution is required against storms and high waves.

In addition, since the atmosphere remains unstable, it is necessary to pay attention to severe local thunderstorms, severe gusts such as tornadoes, and "hail".

If there are signs that a developed cumulonimbus cloud is approaching, such as a sudden cold wind, move to a sturdy building to ensure safety.
