On October 18, the Sarawusu Ruins Park where the Sarawusu Ruins are located.
It is reported that the Sarawusu Site is located on the Sarawusu River at the junction of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Shaanxi Province. It is the first paleolithic cultural site to be officially excavated in China, and it is also the first important site where human fossils have been discovered in China and East Asia. It is the discovery and naming place of the "Hetao people", "Salawusu culture", "Salawusu fauna" and the Sarawusu Formation of the late Pleistocene lacustrine standard strata in northern China.
The Sarawusu Site was announced by the State Council as the fifth batch of national key cultural relics protection units in 2001, with a protection area of 17.26 square kilometers.
