A group of extremists came out of Hollywood since 2017, telling us to watch films for “Diversity,” and not to watch any films that do not contain “Diversity.” The word means “racial diversity.”

I mean, they want us to watch films containing white, black and Asian actors, or works directed by blacks or women, or any non-white element, and ignore anything that contradicts this trend.

This state of extremism led the London Film Festival three years ago to a crazy decision to declare 50% of the films submitted are made by women!

I mean, even if the films are bad, the festival management does not mind showing them at the expense of better films made by men.

Of course, when some critics and the masses attacked the decision, the extreme leftists accused them of being against Diversity!

Question: If a person wants to watch a movie in the cinema or even at home, is it necessary to look at the racial diversity of the film's crew or watch what he wants according to his mood?

If a man wants to take his wife for an evening at the cinema, should they pick out an interracial movie or watch what they like?

Of course, you should never look at the ethnic diversity of any movie, watch what you want according to your mood, we do not live in a perfect world, and these ethnic diversity extremists cannot impose their point of view on us, watching any movie should not be based on the race of the characters but on a good story and characters Interesting away from the color.

Watching a movie is also based on merit, I wouldn't watch a poor movie with a black hero and ignore a good movie with a white hero, or vice versa, if there was a Denzel Washington movie versus a Sylvester Stallone movie, I personally would choose Washington because it's the best.

Racial diversity has existed in Hollywood since the '80s, and before liberal zealots came out on us with their sterile philosophy, we watched a police duo, a white man and his black partner, team up to vanquish evil: Bruce Willis with Reginald Filjohnson in Die Hard one and Samuel Jackson in the third.

Mel Gibson and Danny Glover in "Lethal Weapon", and Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte in "48 Hours."

We have been watching ethnic diversity for 40 years and we don't need anyone to tell us what to watch, dictate decisions or determine our tastes. People will watch any movie because of its quality and not for any other reason.

Situations:

A Wrinkle in Time in 2018 failed miserably at the box office, because the film's advertising campaign emphasized going to see it because of Oprah Winfrey's starring presence, and it is directed by Ava DuVerney, both of whom are from the black minority in Hollywood. any thing else.

The 2016 Ghostbusters movie failed badly at the American box office, because its producer insisted on turning the championship into an all-female one, and the film’s advertising campaign focused on this aspect, and the producer was subjected to intense pressure and a boycott campaign on the Internet by fans of the original movie, so he insisted on ignoring them, but what happened did not happen. Unexpectedly, the campaign succeeded and the film failed.

• This state of extremism led the London Film Festival, three years ago, to a crazy decision announcing 50% of the participating films are made by women!
