A few days ago, the reporter followed the "Mother Riverside China" network theme event interview team to the Huiji District of Zhengzhou City. Here, the results of a series of ecological environment management projects are impressive.

Zhengzhou Yellow River Beach Park is located in Huiji District, Zhengzhou City.

The park starts from Jiangshan Road in the west and ends at Huayuankou Yellow River Bridge in the east. The planned area is 44 square kilometers, which is equivalent to the size of 147 Zhengzhou People's Parks.

The park is divided into 14 functional areas, including the Yellow River Wetland Ecological Restoration Area, Wetland Area, and Yellow River Ecological Agriculture Demonstration Area. It is a key livelihood project that reflects the functional positioning of Zhengzhou’s "Beijing" city.

However, it is hard to imagine that such a park, known as Zhengzhou's "big garden", was not what it looked like a few years ago.

Zhao Hongxun introduced that in 2016, the original Yellow River beach area was still another scene-small factories, small workshops, sand grounds, mixing stations are all over the place, and fishing boats will also discharge sewage into the river.

Through the efforts in recent years, the local government has eliminated all small, scattered, and disorderly enterprises that do not meet the requirements of the ecological protection project, and at the same time also cleaned up the fishing boats, and the environment has been effectively treated.

Nowadays, there is no more dirty and messy scene here, replaced by a beautiful ecological environment.

According to reports, the ecological protection project in 2020 will focus on the construction of the framework of the slow-moving system, the Yellow River National Wetland Park, the Yellow River Ecological Agriculture Demonstration Zone, and the ecological restoration of the core area of the Yellow River beach land protection.

At present, the planned slow-moving system 27 roads totaling 66 kilometers have been basically completed; the three nodes of the Nanguotou Viewpoint, the Maritime Viewpoint, and the Huiwu Floating Bridge Viewpoint have been basically completed.

In addition, the types of animals and plants in the Yellow River Beach Park in Zhengzhou are also increasing.

"We did a preliminary investigation some time ago and invited a teacher from the Henan Wildlife Rescue Center. We drove around the park for more than an hour and found at least 20 species of birds."

Zhao Hongxun introduced that the most species of birds in the park are turtle doves, egrets, etc. At least four species have been found in egrets alone. In addition, some small carnivores have been found in the park, which also shows that the biological chain in the area is now Is gradually recovering.

In just a few years, the construction of the Yellow River Beach Park has transformed the original dirty and messy beach. The changes in front of him have made Zhao Hongxun very pleased, who has worked here for more than ten years.

He said that the next step in the park's planning is to let the results of environmental governance benefit more Zhengzhou citizens.
