This was the effect that doctors and epidemiologists feared with the end of free tests.
According to a BVA poll, 15% of unvaccinated people, or 2% of all those surveyed, would refuse to pay for a Covid-19 test, even if they had symptoms.
And this, while a visit to the doctor would assure them a prescription for a reimbursed test.
Worse, 26% of them would also refuse the test if they were in contact.
This gives an idea of the resistance of part of the population to health measures.
The majority of those unvaccinated today seem determined never to take the plunge.
Thus, 68% of them say they no longer want to go to places requiring the health pass.
What to wonder about the scope of the end of reimbursement of “comfort” tests.
First, because the State is obviously not going to gain much in terms of spending.
But above all, because the objective of pushing the last latecomers into the arms of the vaccine is doomed to failure: only 8% of the unvaccinated will take their injection for a health pass.
