There will be no investigation around Prince Andrew's role in the Virginia Giuffre sexual assault charges.

At least in England.

The London police have indeed announced that there will be no follow-up to their investigations.

The investigators consulted a certain number of documents and elements, in particular those related to the civil complaint filed by the attorneys of the accuser in the United States, as the

Guardian

relays

.

"The examination (of the elements) is finished and we are not taking any further action," the Metropolitan Police Service announced in a not very verbose statement.

Virginia Giuffre, however, claims that she was forced by Jeffrey Epstein to have sex with Prince Andrew when she was a minor.

According to the inspectors, the evidence is not sufficient to go further.

Confident

The son of the Queen of England, who defends himself firmly against all accusations, is therefore cleared for the moment.

“It is no surprise that the police confirm that after reviewing the sexual assault charges against the Duke of York for the third time, they are not taking any further action.

Despite media pressure and allegations of new evidence, police have concluded that the allegations are not sufficient to warrant further investigation.

The Duke has always vigorously proclaimed his innocence and continues to do so, ”an anonymous source close to Prince Andrew told the PA Media news agency.

The fact remains that the son of Elizabeth II is still under trial in the United States.

He has until October 29 to respond to court.
